Tsunami Relief

International Red CrossDonate for International Relief. In Canada, you can specify where you want excess funds spent, and you can choose from many areas of need. The Canadian government will match donations made until January 11, 2005, and donations made by then can be submitted in 2004 tax returns as charitable donations. There is no excuse.

Why Standards Matter

The only constant is change.Writing this article reminds me of a speech I had to write in grade six. I chose to write about math, and how math was integral to everything we do. Somewhere along the way during the speech, I lost the thread of my argument and started rambling about how math keeps us healthy, keeps our walls straight, is part of our existence down to how much milk we use on our cereal, even if we were ignorant putzes who didn't notice it.
